New music from LTO, Christine Ott, Rob St John, Astral Social Club, Dogs versus Shadows and Simon Klee, Haq, SAD MAN and Dalhous. The Haq track is from “Mark Barton’s The Sunday Experience” compilation on Edinburgh’s Bearsuit Records – a kind of celebration of the work of writer/music reviewer, Mark Barton who, sadly, died last year. All proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Auchterturra High Jinks – Slow Notes, Low Doses
New High Jinks features no less than three tracks from Blackford Hill Transmissions Vol 1, out on Blackford Hill in April. It’s a substantial 2 CDs of really excellent tracks and highly recommended. Profits from the release go to Shelter. Some great forthcoming releases from 12th Isle, Denovali, Gizeh Records are also in the mix alongside new work from Daniel Avery and Kevin Richard Martin.
Auchterturra High Jinks – Trust Your Plants
High Jinks this week includes a recent release on the excellent TakuRoku label from Cara Tolmie, forthcoming work from Lumpen Nobleman and Helena Celle courtesy of our good pals at Extra Normal Records, Swans, Forest Swords, Aha Ssan and another from Fields Lines Cartographer’s The Spectral Isle, which hasn’t strayed far from decks since it arrived.
